About Us
BEACON Inc. was founded October 21, 2007 by owners Bryan & Claire Northcutt.   The forming of the company came as a result of much prayer and an excellent opportunity for the Northcutt's.   With a background in building science, Claire had many years of formal training and a number of years as a project manager and estimator in the construction field.   Claire was then offered an opportunity to open a Lee County division for an existing insulator.   This allowed her the opportunity to learn the insulation business from a company who had been in business for over 40 years.

Bryan and Claire Northcutt with Family When presented the option, Bryan and Claire chose to buy this company and continue operations under their own company, BEACON Inc.   As the business began to grow, Bryan left his job as a teacher at a local school to run the day to day operations of the company.

BEACON grew into a full service insulation company by 2010, but then Bryan and Claire, realized it was a wiser use of time and resources to focus in on specific insulation needs in the market. While we still offer a variety of services, our primary focus is the existing home market. We have developed a simple, cost effective system to weatherize your home without costing the home owner a fortune.

In 2013, the corporate offices of BEACON Insulation moved to Fort Payne, AL. We now have 3 independently run divisions (Auburn, Fort Payne, and Huntsville) that all offer the same products and excellent customer service.
Bryan Northcutt:

Born in rural NE Alabama Bryan made his way to Gadsden in 1991 as a college student at AU.   He had the wonderful opportunity to play football for his beloved Auburn Tigers as a place kicker.   This lead to a short stint in arena football with the Columbus War Dogs.   Bryan graduated with bachelors in mathematics and a Master's in Education.

Upon graduation, Bryan spent the next 10 years as a teacher and coach at Gadsden High School.   He taught Mathematics, was the faculty rep for FCA, coached football, baseball and golf.   In that 10 years, he also spent time with East Alabama Youth for Christ and led worship for First Baptist Church of Gadsden.   This was the greatest experience of his life because that is where he met his wife Claire.

Claire Northcutt:

Born in Gadsden, Alabama, Claire was raised in a home of homebuilders.   She was on jobsites at the age of five and always has some sort of responsibility to help in her families' business.   As a junior in high school, she went to work for Turner Universal Construction as their youngest co-op student.   During high school she became interested in math & design and received a 5-yr. Presidential Scholarship to study architecture at Pratt Art Institute in NYC.

Through the direction of her parents and her experiences in construction, Claire decided to get a double major in Building Science.   She moved to Gadsden in 2002 to finish out her schooling.   Claire has worked for various residential and commercial construction companies.   In 2008 she gave birth to her and Bryan's first child and hopes to continue growing their family.
